1 class is 0-500

You figure out your score by adding your cone area and your fusing(x10).

In your case you have 226 square inches of cone area.

500-226=274 left for fusing. This means you can use up to 27 amps of fusing.

1 classes are also limited to one fuse, in which case you would have to use a 25 amp fuse.

1 classes are also only allowed an amp with a rating of 1500 watts or less.

Hope that clears everything up.

Is this meant to be 2- 12" subs = 226 ,
27 amps of fusing if amplifier rated <1500 watts ?
so if i had a 4kw amplifier i would not qualify for "1's" class (as1,s1,m1,db1)
even if i could burp on 25 amp fuse ???
does this include the american bass amps????

That is correct. You can use that amp in a 3 class or above.

1 is limited to 1500, 2 is limited to 3000.

ok so the 30 amp fuse would stay the same, just now the amp must be rated 1500w or less at 14.4 correct?
